About Vermox
Vermox, which is known under the generic name of mebendazole, is a prescriptive anti-worm or anthelmintic drug. This medication is meant to prevent worms from absorbing glucose (sugar). Basically the worm is starved to death and can`t spread in the body.
Uses or Indications
Vermox is generally applied to treat various infections which are provoked by worms, like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm and whipworm. Besides, the drug can be used to eliminate infections that result from more than one of these worms. Vermox is also effective in killing such common infections as threadworms etc.
How to Use Vermox
Vermox comes in the form of chewable tablet, and doctors recommend to take it orally. The medication should be used in accordance with prescription. Make sure you have read carefully the instruction label on the drug and follow all the given instructions properly. Possible Side Effects
The most common Vermox side effects include an allergic reaction, like shortness of breath, rash, itching, and minor adverse reaction, for example, diarrhea and mild short-lived stomach ache.

- Usually Vermox shouldn`t be used by children younger than 2 years old.
- Avoid Vermox in case you are pregnant or planning to be one. Check with your doctor before taking this medication.
- Vernox isn`t advisable for breastfeeding women, as the active ingredient of the drug is likely to get into breast milk and have a negative impact on the inborn baby. Consult with your doctor who may suggest you either to stop breastfeeding while taking Vermox or not to undergo a course of treatment with Vermox at all.
- Taking Vermox doesn`t imply special restrictions on beverages, food or performing different activities.
Drug Interaction

Missed Dose
If you occasionally missed a dose of Vermox, you should wait until it is the time for the next dose, then skip over the missed one and resume your normal schedule. Never double the dose of the drug to make up for a missed dose.
Overdose
There is no known Vermox overdose symptom. But any medication taken in excess can be dangerous to one`s health. So see your doctor as soon as possible if an overdose is suspected.
Storage
Keep Vermox in a safe place where children cannot reach or see them. Do not store above 25°C. Protect the drug from light and keep away from reach of children.
