Lamisil Oral is primarily used as a treatment for the onychomycosis of the toenails and fingernails, as caused by dermatophytes.
How to Use Lamisil Oral
Lamisil is commonly available in 250mg tablets. These are taken orally, with careful observation of the directions of a physician, or as indicated on the prescription label. Normal intake duration is a single daily dose for a period of six weeks for treatment of fingernail fungus, and single daily doses for twelve weeks for toenail fungus. Users should complete the intake treatment even if they start to achieve the benefits of the drug, since the fungus is not completely eradicated until after a few months of use.
Possible Side Effects
If users experience an allergic reaction, rashes, blood problems, or changes in vision, they are advised to discontinue product use and seek emergency medical help. More common adverse effects include a decrease in taste sensations, nausea, headaches, an upset stomach, flatulence, heartburn, and diarrhea. Missed Dose
In case of a missed intake of Lamisil Oral, take the missed dose as soon as possible, on the condition that the next scheduled dose is not nearly due; otherwise, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next one taken, according to the regular intake schedule prescribed by a physician, or as indicated on the prescription label.
Overdose
An excessive intake of Lamisil Oral may have serious adverse effects on health. Indications of an overdose may include headaches, drowsiness, rash outbreaks, poor body coordination, frequent urination, a shortness of breath, abdominal pain, vomiting, and dizziness. If such symptoms are present, seek immediate medical help.
Storage
Keep the medication within normal room temperature, inside a tightly-sealed container, and away from excessive or direct heat and light.
