How to Use Kenalog Aerosol
Shake the canister well before using it. Then spray just enough of the medication to adequately cover the area of the mouth with the ulcer. Application is best recommended at night, right before going to bed. If it is necessary, maintenance applications of two to three times within the day may also be done during treatment; however, the medication must not be used more than four times within 24 hours of treatment.
Possible Side Effects
Continuous or prolonged use of Kenalog Aerosol increases the potential for absorption of the drug into the body. Such an occurrence can cause adverse effects; infants, children, and individuals who are using dentures are more susceptible to the involved risk. The common effect of the use of the medication is a mild and temporary stinging on the affected area. However, if an allergic reaction is experienced after use of the product, such as a rash, inflammation of the mouth, itching, and hives, the user is advised to discontinue use and get immediate medical help.
Drug Precautions
Users should postpone food intake after an application of the drug. Women who are conceiving, planning on pregnancy, or are nursing are advised to make an initial consultation with a physician before considering on using Kenalog Aerosol as treatment. The drug may cause an adverse reaction on the unborn or nursing child. Those who are taking on any prescription and non-prescription medications, dietary supplements, and herbal preparations, those who possess an allergy with certain substances, medicines, and foods, and those who have skin infections, chickenpox or measles are also recommended to undergo preliminary medical consultation before taking Kenalog Aerosol.
Drug Interaction
There may be certain medications which can interact with Kenalog Aerosol; but because it is a topical application with little or non-existent possibility for being absorbed into the bloodstream, the chances of any serious health consequence as a result of reaction to medication is very low. If the user experiences any unusual symptoms or reactions after using the drug, he or she is advised to temporarily discontinue use, and seek immediate medical assistance.
Missed Dose
Missed applications must be made immediately, provided that it is within the maximum recommended frequency of three applications per day, and following the intervals directed by a physician, or as indicated on the prescription label.
Overdose

Storage
Store the container in temperatures not exceeding 30°C, away from excessive heat. Do not puncture the canister, and ensure that the cap is tightly-sealed.
