Aldactone is a diuretic that spares potassium loss.Treatment of hypertension and edema is done by this drug. Hormonal disorder called hyperaldosteronism is also treated by this drug.
Aldactone is normally known as a "water-pill". The drug is also known as an "aldosterone- competitor", as it obstructs aldosterone receptors. The function of the hormone aldosterone is to help the human body to hold back water. BY jamming aldosterone, Aldactone escalates the water and salt quantity which the kidneys eliminate from your blood. The excess water and salt is removed through urine. By boosting up the water quantity taken out from your blood, the drug helps to lessen the blood volume. Due to this consequence, Aldactone lowers the blood pressure.
